Meteo Devices

Our weather stations are supplied with varying sensor configurations according to our clients’ needs and can be changed at any time; the purpose of the sensors is monitoring various meteorological parameters in order to link them with other parameters determined during geotechnical and structural monitoring.

Our wide range of weather instruments includes:

  • Barometers: for measuring atmospheric pressure, used in the meteorological field to provide data for weather forecasting and for compensating piezometric level measurements.
  • Rain gauges: used to measure the amount of rainfall and some of the main instruments used in weather stations.
  • Thermometers: for measuring air and water temperatures.
  • Hygrometers: for measuring relative air humidity, and the relationship between absolute humidity (defined as the amount of water vapor present in the atmosphere at a given instant) and relative humidity (the maximum quantity of water vapor found at a given temperature and pressure).
  • Anemometer: used to measure wind speed and/or wind direction.
  • Airflow Meter: used to measure air flow.
  • Evaporimeter: system used for measuring the rate of water evaporation into the atmosphere.
  • Solar irradiance meter: an instrument for measuring the duration of insolation (with reference to to a certain threshold and direct solar radiation.
  • Pyranometer: for measuring global solar radiation; direct solar radiation and diffuse sky radiation.
  • Carbon monoxide meter (CO2): sensors are used mainly in air quality monitoring for measuring carbon dioxide in environments with many people and crowds such as art galleries, museums, caves , schools and hospitals. Typical applications for weather instruments are:
    • Dams
    • Bridges
    • Tunnels
    • Landslides
    • Structures adjacent to construction zones and zones with structural problems
    • Mining
    • Monuments
    • Museums
    • Archaeological sites
