The instrument, consists of a stainless steel cylindrical body with a calibrated stainless steel membrane on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with the harmonic steel wire and electro-magnetic excitation group, this comprises the transducer element of the instrument. This membrane deflects when subjected to a pressure difference (external or internal) and, as a consequence, variation in stress (and consequent deformation) of the wire, causing a variation in frequency vibration on excitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The measurement of this frequency allows for the calculation of the pressure on the membrane.<br>A fundamental characteristic of the vibrating wire piezometric cell is the tightness at very high pressures; sealing is assured by complete welding between the external body and the related membrane and by the terminal part of the cable connection where the cable entrance is protected by a disk with metal glass pins that have been properly welded to the instrument body. No O-ring seals are used.<br>The membrane is protected by a bronze or sintered steel filter with a permeability of 10\u00b5 or 30\u00b5, according to the method of installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vibrating wire piezometer is equipped with a coil calibrated for the measurement of temperature; as an alternative, on specific request, it can be equipped with an internal thermistor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These devices are compatible and usable with most dataloggers for vibrating wire on the market.<br>For manual measurements, we suggest our&nbsp;portable <a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/en\/products\/dec3000-portable-datarecorder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>d<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/en\/products\/dec3000-portable-datarecorder\/\"><strong>ataloggers DEC3000<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/en\/products\/dec5-portable-readout-unit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DEC5<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;and for automatic systems, our&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/dataloggersCUM3000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dataloggers CUM3000<\/a><\/strong>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/en\/products\/vw-hub-2-datalogger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VW Hub 2<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/en\/products\/vibrating-wire-piezometer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cRIO Vibrating Wire Modules<\/a>.<br>They can be integrated into automatic monitoring systems with real-time monitoring of phenomena and management of local and remote real-time alarms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pizzi-instruments.it\/piezometro-corda-vibrante\/#manual-modal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vibrating wire piezometers&nbsp;are instruments of great reliability and high strength, used for measuring pore and neutral pressures and hydraulic levels.
